Car paintings, just like the pet portraits I offer, are usually for someone’s birthday present or for a Christmas gift. I work from images sent by clients or from books and internet searches as well as my own photos.
There are many artists selling car paintings but not all will offer personal touches such as local scenery or landmark buildings. This type of addition in my opinion helps widen the overall appeal. For example someone might like the background location better than the car. To them it may bring back happy memories of a holiday.
Due to it’s convenience, economy and speed of turnaround I am choosing to paint and draw digitally more often. This option means I can offer high quality prints framed or unframed at more affordable prices. I am not a picture framer and I do not have printing facilities so if required will outsource this part of the service.
To keep costs down for myself and others I encourage collection rather than delivery. I think some people actually like to meet the artist as well as talk on the telephone. To proceed with an order I need an address, phone number and email address for my book-keeping records. Payment is by BACS bank transfer whenever possible.
Sometimes I will be asked to show previous examples of work undertaken that may help people decide if I have the ability and working style they would require.
